JJ Redick Agrees to Deal With Lakers

Former NBA star and ESPN analyst to take the helm in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA

Former NBA player and current ESPN analyst JJ Redick has reportedly agreed to a four-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers to become their head coach.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that the Lakers and Redick have agreed to the contract. The timing of the hire is significant, as Redick will join the Lakers' roster planning ahead of the NBA Draft on June 26-27.

Redick, a 15-year NBA veteran, played for several teams throughout his career, including the Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, and Brooklyn Nets. He was known for his sharpshooting ability, ranking among the NBA's leaders in three-point percentage multiple times.

After retiring from playing, Redick joined ESPN as an NBA analyst. He has been praised for his insightful commentary and his ability to break down the game in an engaging and informative way.

The Lakers are hoping that Redick's basketball knowledge and coaching acumen will help them return to contention after a disappointing season in which they missed the playoffs.
